In order to build the classroom the Himba collected stones and have participated in the building process (see Newsletter June 2013.

Apart from the support by our foundation and the Ministry of Education we are asking the parents for a small contribution which can pay for maintenance. Primary education in Namibia does not require any further contribution from the parents.

It goes without saying that there is regular discussion with the above mentioned Ministry in Opuwo; the Ministry pays the teachers and has also paid for the furniture for the new classroom. Besides it is their responsibility to monitor the quality of primary edudation.
